Bikaner Camel Festival

Camel at Bikaner Festival History comes alive in the serene ambiance of desert as one witness the huge gathering of camels from all over the Rajasthan. The grand festival is organized by Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, to lay emphasis on the importance of ship of Rajasthan. At the end of December, the deserts of Bikaner turns out to be lively with upcoming grand camel festival.

The festival begins with the procession of decorated camels. Three days of extravaganza displays exciting events, where open competition is held for best decorated camel, best fur-cutting style on the camel, camel best breed and fastest running camel. Other interesting attractions of the festival are camel dance, tug-of-war contest, acrobatics and folk dances. Apart from that, feed your hungry belly with mouth watering traditional dishes of Rajasthan. Relish at thalis of Daal-Baati, Choorma and other vegetarian cuisines. Also enjoy the unique flavor of sweets prepared by camel milk.

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Delhi
On arrival, a warm welcome by our staff and then transfer to hotel for relaxation. Rest half of the day, a small tour to the popular heritage sites of Delhi including Red fort, India gate and Raj Ghat.

Day 2 : Jaipur
Next day after finishing with breakfast, get ready to drive to Jaipur. After five and half hour journey you will be reaching Jaipur. Enjoy the leisurely moments by visiting the busy streets of Jaipur. Relax your body with a night stay in hotel.

Day 3: Jaipur
Explore the beauty and charm of 'Pink City' in its majestic forts and monuments. Firstly you will be ushered to the remarkable historical monuments – Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storeyed building in the form of semi-octagonal shape, consisting of sandstone windows. Another place of tourist attractions includes Amber fort and city Palace. Once finished with Jaipur tour you will drive to Jodhpur and check in at hotel.

Day 4: Jodhpur
Next day we will guide you to some fascinating attractions of Jodhpur like Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (flower Palace) and Sukh Mahal. During your stay in Jodhpur you can also shop for the exquisite handicrafts articles like embroidered shoes, metal curios, tie and die fabrics and beautiful paintings. Night stay in hotel and next morning drive to Bikaner.

Day 5: Bikaner
After having your breakfast in the morning, you will proceed to visit fascinating forts and palaces in Bikaner famous for their marvellous architecture, showcasing the rich culture of the city. The other sightseeing includes Junagarh Fort, Lalgadh Palace and Government Palace. Once you have finished with your whole day sightseeing tour, get back to the hotel for a night stay.

Day 6: Bikaner
The next day after freshing up, get ready to witness the grand camel festival of Bikaner. See the glimpse of colorful cultural performances and huge numbers of decorated camels participating in various competitions. Once finished with all events, get back to hotel.

Day 7: Delhi
After a night stay at Bikaner, next day drive Back to Delhi. Once you reach Delhi you will be transfer to the Indira Gandhi Airport, so that you can catch the flight to onward destination. The tour will surely leave you with some pleasant memories.
