But the Indian wedding and its style have created rage all over. The tourism sector of India earns much and is greatly boosted by Indian wedding.

Indian wedding is the best way to experience the wondrous social customs of the land. They have been an occasion of enchantment and excitement, not only for the Indians but also for the outsiders since ages. Indian wedding are synonymous with glitz, glamour and motley of traditional rituals. They make our holiday in India worth while. Every part/region of the land showcases a change in the wedding style. The religious, regional and cultural diversity of India is well reflected by the wedding ceremonies.

The Saat Pheres or the Seven Rounds around the pious fire is an important part of the Indian wedding. All this is followed by the Vedic Mantras. The colourful Maharaja like weddings of India stimulate many foreigners to get wed in Indian style.

Various Styles of Indian Wedding :-
Rajasthani Style
Rajasthan, also known as the Land of Rajputs offer great royal and extravagant weddings. The Royal Rajput wedding of Rajasthan is one of the most colourful of its type and offers a regal feel to the tourists who plan to get wed in this style. The pre and post wedding functions stretch for days. Palaces of Jodhpur, Jaipur and Jaisalmer are some of the favoured spots of Rajasthan that fits the Rajasthani wedding style. Special attention is given to the bridal wear. There are also great performances by the local entertainers like snake charmers, fire eaters, elephants and camels during the marriage function.

Punjabi Style
Punjabi wedding is followed by an elaborate list of customs. Every custom is celebrated by the Punjabi as a big carnival. Costumes also play a great role in this style of wedding. The rocking 'Bhangra' also plays a pivotal role in the Punjabi wedding.

Tamil Vedic Style
The wedding style of the Tamilians are not as elaborate and flashy as Rajasthani or Punjabi wedding. Their marriage dates are decided according to the Tamil calendar. Several pre-marriage wedding rituals are also performed.

Bengali Style
The Bengali style of wedding is a set of unique rituals that give the Bengali weddings an appeal of a different type. Some of the well known functions before and after marriage are- Maharashtrain Style
Maharashtrian wedding follows a lot of traditions of a Hindu wedding. The wedding generally begins with a Muhurat where an auspicious day for the wedding is decided. Some of the rituals of the wedding are as follows: - All these followed by a grand traditional feast.

Sindhi Style
The various marriage rites and rituals are very simple. The Sindhi wedding does not involve much of the extravaganza like other communities. Kachchi Misri, Pakki Misri and Berana where a Jhulelal Sangeet is organised.
