Mcleod
Ganj - Mcleod Ganj is the residence of his holiness Dalai Lama. A Buddha
temple is located opposite the quarters of Dalai Lama. The place hold
immense treasure of beauty. In and around a number of Tibetan monasteries
can be found.
War Memorial - This is one of the most beautiful
monuments of Dharamshala and has been built to pay a tribute to the war
heroes of Himachal Pradesh. The monument is at its best during afternoon.
Kangra Art Museum - This museum houses Kangra
Valley's arts, crafts and other artifacts. These date back to 5th century.
Museum is also well known for its miniature paintings, pottery, sculptures
and other items of great delight.
St. John's Church - This church is very famous in
Dharamshala. One can find oneself in the times of British Raj while looking
at the temple. This church lies at about 8 kms from Dharamshala.
Norbulinka Institute - This institute has got its
name from the sumer residence of Dalai Lama in Tibet. It lies just at a
distance of 4 kms from Dharamshala. The institute has been dedicated to the

Chamunda Devi Temple - This famous temple of
Chamunda Devi is located in the village of Dadh, which is located at a

Dal
Lake - The Dal Lake is located at a distance of 11 kms from
Dharamshala. It is surrounded by high and green Deodar trees. The lake is

handicraft items that are made by the local artisans. Kotwali bazaar is one

How To Reach
By Air : Gaggal airport is the nearest airport from
Dharamshala located at a distance of 15 km. from Dharamshala. It can also be
reached by air from Delhi.
By Rail : Pathankot, 95 km away from Dharamshala is
the nearest railhead. A narrow gauge railway line between Pathankot and
Jogindernagar passes through Kangra, 17 km. from Dharamshala.
By Road : Every part of the state of Himachal
Pradesh is linked extensively by roads. The Himachal Road Transport
Corporation is running its buses covering the whole state. There is huge
network of HRTC to cater the needs of the people. From Manali also the bus
