About The hotel
Narain Niwas was built in the 1928 by General Amar Singh, Thakur of Kanota,
Commander of the Jaipur State Forces and confident of the then Maharaja,
Sawai Man Singh.
General Amar Singh was the grandson of Thakur Zorawar Singh, founder of the
Kanota family. Thakur Shivnath Singh, (General Amar Singhji's brother)
supervised the actual construction. The new mansion was named after their
father, Thakur Narain Singh, who had been Chief of police in Jaipur State as
well as a minister at the neighbouring princely state of Alwar.
Accommodation
All 38 rooms decorated with antique furnishings are desperate to welcome
visitors. They are A.C.& Air-Cooled rooms with telephone and attached
bath, running hot & cold water, car on rental, safe deposit, laundry,
doctor on call, swimming pool surrounded by big shady trees, car-parking.

Amber Palace
The Amber Palace is located on the outskirts of the Jaipur city on a low
hill. The palace can be reached on the back of an elephant which is an
exhilarating experience in itself. The fort has various beautiful tourist
attractions within the complex including Jai Mandir and the famous hall of
mirrors or the Sheesh Mahal.
City Palace
City Palace showcases an impressive blend of traditional Rajasthani and
Mughal architecture styles. Within the complex there are a series of
courtyards, gardens and buildings. Other tourist attractions of the palace
include Chandra Mahal, Sri Gobing Dev Temple and the Museum that adorns a
variety of ancient artifacts.
