About the Hotel
Built by Maharana Fateh Singh Ji, the hotel was a small royal guest house
in 1911 overlooking Fateh Sagar Lake for his British Guests and named it as
Laxmi Vilas It was reconstructed in 1945 Maharana Bhopal Singh and he used
it for the visiting royal dignitaries. In 1962 the palace was acquired by
Government of India and converted into a heritage hotel.

City Palace Museum
The City Palace endorse a very large complex, all initially built by the
Mewar royal family over several hundred years. The site now contains several

Located 150 metre north of the entrance to the City Palace, this temple
dedicated to lord Vishnu was built in 1651 AD by Maharaja Jagat Singh.It
enshrines a black stone image of lord Vishnu as Jagannath - the Lord of the
Universe.
