Tiger in Sariska Tiger Reserve Sariska has a rich natural heritage with some beautiful lakes and picturesque valleys thickly wooded in parts. Situated on the most prominent of these hills is a massive ancient fort that whispers tales of the rich history of Sariska in Rajasthan India.
Sariska lies in Alwar district of Rajasthan and is famous for its tiger reserve. There are many more travel attractions in Sariska such as ancient Kanwari Fort and many ancient temples which makes Sariska travel in Rajasthan very exciting. Sariska was declared wildlife sanctuary in 1955, tiger reserve in 1979 and in 1982 it was given the National Park status in Rajasthan India. Getting There
Airways:The Jaipur Airport is the nearest airport from Sariska. Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, and Sahara connect Jaipur with Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Jodhpur and Udaipur.
Railways: The nearest rail junction is the Sawai Madhopur Railway Station at a distance of 11 km from the park.
Roadways: An excellent road network links Sariska will the other major cities of Rajasthan. It takes around one hour to reach Sariska from Alwar (36 km).

Sariska Tiger Reserve
Sariska tiger reserve attracts many wildlife lovers to travel Sariska in Rajasthan India. Sariska, established under Project Tiger scheme of India, offers a unique and exciting opportunity to view the tiger, blue bull, the sambhar, wild boar and cheetal in their natural habitat. It contains mostly dry, deciduous forests. Located nearby, is the Sariska Palace, which is a luxury hotel, often the site for motion picture locations.

Jai Samand Lake
A beautiful artificial lake constructed by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1910 A.D. is a popular spot for outing and picnics. During monsoons,sprawling greenery all around makes it a visual treat. Easily accessible by road from Alwar, the lake is one of the important travel attractions of the region.

Vijai Mandir Palace
A splendid palace, built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1918 A. D. picturesque lake overlooking the palace makes it a fascinating sight.
